Crock Pot Stew

Last Home-cooked Meal

Made this for dinner tonight – so, this IS probably his last home-cooked meal while he lives here because you know JJ doesn’t cook dinner TOO often…if I can help it.

1-2 lb stewing beef (I cut up a 3 lb roast into chunks because those damn stewing beef cubes are expensive!)
1 can tomato soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. frozen stew vegs. (potatoes, onions, carrots, celery, etc)
I also threw in some extra potatoes, mushrooms, salt and pepper and some hot sauce from California Tortilla.

I threw it all in the crock pot and cooked it for about 9 hours on low.  We ate it with some italian bread to sop up the delicious gravy.

Enjoy!

  1. I’m with you on everything but the tomato soup – but that’s okay, might steal the tomato-less version! Sounds yummithy!

That sounds delicious. I’ve had the ingredients for chili for over a week now. I had a craving for it and never got any further than buying the stuff to make it. Now I think I must get to work on that before the end of this week.
